Plumbing contractor website design that gets picked at 2am
A site that opens before the panic passes, shows up in every town you drive to, and puts the job on your dispatcher screen.
This is how a shop loses a water heater replacement
One burst supply line, followed from the first ring to the review the other shop collected the week after.
A supply line lets go at 11:40pm
A homeowner is standing in two inches of water in a laundry room with no idea where the shutoff is. They do not browse. They type "emergency plumber near me" into a phone with wet hands and they tap the first three results in order.
Your site is still loading
A page-builder site on shared hosting is carrying a slider, three tracking pixels and a chat bubble that all load before the phone number does. On a phone at the bottom of a basement stairwell it may as well be offline. They hit back before your logo paints.
The shop two towns over answers
Their site opened, their after-hours number was in the header, and somebody picked up. That call is now a same-night callout at an emergency rate, and very likely a water heater replacement in the same week.
They collect the review that should have been yours
A five-star review naming a street you drive past every day, attached to a shop that now ranks slightly better than you because it has one more review than you do. That is the compounding part. You did not lose one job, you lost the position.
What plumbing contractor website design changes, mechanically
Six specific things. Each one is either wired and tested at launch, or it is not in the plan.
The page opens before the panic passes
We build on the Astro framework, which ships almost no JavaScript and serves static pages from Cloudflare edge locations. No plugin stack, no page-builder runtime. We guarantee a 90+ Google PageSpeed score, often a clean 100, on mobile and desktop. The emergency search is a mobile search, and mobile is where a WordPress plumbing site usually falls apart.
The after-hours number is never more than one tap away
A sticky call bar on mobile, the on-call number in the header, and a form that asks the three things your dispatcher actually needs: the address, what is leaking, and whether the water is off. Not a nine-field contact form that a soaked homeowner will abandon halfway down.
A page for every town you will actually roll a truck to
Individually written pages for each city and neighbourhood inside your service radius, each with its own title, schema and internal links. This is what decides whether you appear for "drain cleaning in [town]" or whether the franchise forty minutes away takes it. Towns you will not drive to do not get a page, because a lead you cannot service is a bad review waiting to happen.
Your flat-rate book stops contradicting your website
Diagnostic fees, after-hours rates, camera inspection pricing and water heater ranges get updated on request instead of sitting three price rises out of date. The tech in the driveway is never explaining why the site says something different from the invoice.
AI answer engines can read what you do
Every page carries schema, clean meta and an llms.txt file, so when somebody asks ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews who repairs a burst pipe in your area, there is a structured answer to pull from. Blue links are no longer the only place a plumbing job starts.
Job requests land where your dispatcher already looks
Form submissions push straight into whatever you already run through direct API, Zapier, Pabbly or Make. ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, GoHighLevel. We also include our own CRM with a login of your own, so nothing sits in an inbox nobody watches on a Saturday.
Who this is for, and who it is not for
We would rather lose the call now than build the wrong thing over the next seven working days.
This is built for you if
Residential service shops with a real drive time and a phone that rings outside business hours.
- You run between one and eight vans, and somebody on the team carries the after-hours phone.
- Most of your work is residential service and repair: drains, water heaters, leaks, repipes, sewer lines.
- You are paying a directory or a lead broker for calls, and you would rather own the search result they are renting you.
- Your current site was built once, by somebody who has since stopped replying, and you cannot change your own rates on it.
- You cover a real radius with named towns, and you are invisible in most of them.
Look elsewhere if
These are not disqualifications we are being coy about. They are the cases where this genuinely will not pay for itself.
- You are a one-person shop already booked eight weeks out and turning work away. More inbound will make that worse, not better.
- You want to rank nationally. This is local search work built around a drive time, and it will do nothing for a national keyword.
- You need the site live this week. The build takes seven working days from onboarding on Standard Call, longer on the plans above it, and we will not rush service pages to hit a date.
- You want to own and edit the codebase yourself. This is a managed build, and changes come through us as a revision request.
Against the plumbing site most agencies will sell you
Roughly the same monthly outlay. A different result on the only search that pays emergency rates.
| What you are comparing | This build | A typical WordPress, Wix or GoHighLevel site |
|---|---|---|
| Google PageSpeed on a phone | 90+ guaranteed, often 100 | Commonly 40 to 70 once the plugins load |
| Pages for each town you serve | Written and optimised per city | One service-area list, rarely more |
| Schema, AEO and llms.txt | Shipped on every page | Almost never present |
| Hosting, SSL and the domain | Inside the monthly, never itemised | Three separate renewals |
| Changing your after-hours rate | A revision, done in 2 to 5 working days | Quoted at an hourly rate, then a wait |
| AI chat and review collection | Included on every plan | A paid add-on, or not offered |
| Who fixes it when it breaks | We do, usually before you notice | You do, or you pay somebody to |
The scope that does not change
Nine things stand on all three plans. The cheapest one gets the same page speed, the same weekly rate updates and the same five included revisions as the dearest one.
Standard Call, Priority Call, Emergency Call
Named the way you triage the board, because the plans escalate the same way. The monthly figure is the one that leaves your account, so it is the one in large type. The $597 one-time build fee sits underneath it on all three, and it is not charged until your site is live.
Standard Call
Live in 7 daysRight for you ifA one to three van shop whose site is slow, out of date, or invisible outside its own town. The work is fine. The shop window is not.
- A page for every service line and every town you will roll a truck to
- A 90+ PageSpeed score, guaranteed, on the phone the call comes from
- Your flat-rate figures updated on the site every week
- 2 research-based articles a week, 2,500 to 3,200 words each
- A call-out cost estimator set to your own rate book
- Free domain, Cloudflare hosting, SSL and CDN, never itemised
- Job requests into any CRM by direct API, Zapier, Pabbly or Make
- 5 revisions included every month at no extra cost, then $20 each
- Fully managed: crashes, malware, patches, uptime and backups
The website stops being the reason a job goes elsewhere. It opens instantly on a phone at the bottom of a basement stairwell, shows the rates you actually charge this month, hands the caller a realistic figure from the estimator, and drops the job request into the CRM your dispatcher already has open. Changing a price or adding a town stops being an email, a quote and a fortnight.
Priority Call
Live in 10 daysRight for you ifA shop where the after-hours phone is a person, and that person is asleep, on a job, or under a house. The calls you are losing are the ones that pay best.
- Everything on Standard Call, plus:
- 1 AI receptionist that answers the calls nobody on the crew can take
- 1 AI chat widget on the site that qualifies the fault and books it
- 1 AI across SMS, Messenger and Instagram, in one inbox
- 1 call analysis reporting agent, delivering a monthly PDF you will read
- A2P 10DLC registration, filed for you, as the carriers require
The eleven o clock call gets answered. Something picks up, asks where the water is coming from and whether it is off, takes the address, and puts the callout on the dispatcher screen instead of into voicemail. Texts, Messenger and Instagram messages land in one place with an instant reply. At the end of the month you get a PDF that says plainly what callers asked for, how many came in outside your hours, how many used to go unanswered, and how many turned into a booked job.
The usage fee covers AI minutes and message volume, billed at cost. A2P 10DLC registration is required by the carriers before any SMS can send, and we file it for you.
Add Priority CallEmergency Call
Live in 15 daysRight for you ifA shop that is tired of renting its calls from a directory or a lead broker, and wants to own the search result instead of paying for a share of it.
- Everything on Priority Call, plus:
- 3 research-based articles a week, to the same 2,500 to 3,200 word standard
- 3 social image posts a week, branded and ready to publish
- 2 reels a week, AI voice with on-screen text and icons
- Your Google Business Profile managed: posts, photos, questions and upkeep
You stop buying the same lead a directory already sold to two other shops. Three researched articles, three images and two reels a week means the questions a homeowner types before they call a plumber are answered by you, on your own pages, and the same answer turns up in the feed. Your Google listing stops going quiet. Months in, you are the shop Google and the AI assistants name when somebody asks who clears a sewer line in your area, and that keeps working long after the week it was published.
Content is written around your service lines and the towns inside your radius, so it compounds into local rankings rather than filling a blog nobody reads.
Add Emergency CallAnswer the call in the language the street speaks
Plenty of plumbing shops cover neighbourhoods where a good share of the homeowners would rather read about a burst pipe, a shutoff valve and what an after-hours call costs in Spanish. Add a language for $100 one time, per language, on any plan.
What matters is how it is built. The usual offer bolts a translate widget onto the page, which creates no new addresses, so Google has nothing extra to index and you still rank in one language. We build a separate real page for each language: its own address, its own title and description, its own schema, and hreflang tags pointing the versions at each other. Every service line and every town page. Each language can then rank on its own and be quoted on its own when somebody asks an assistant, in their own words, who fixes a leak near them.
Spanish, French and German are already wired into this site's locale registry, so adding one means writing the translated pages rather than rebuilding anything.
What the week looks like once it is live
Not features. The differences your dispatcher and your techs will actually notice.
Live in seven working days on Standard Call
You do not pay the build fee until the site is up and you have signed off on it.
Pay the first monthly invoice
You start on the monthly only: $117 on Standard Call, $227 on Priority Call, $597 on Emergency Call. The $597 one-time build fee is not charged at this point.
Onboarding call
One call collects the service lines you sell, the towns you will actually drive to, your flat-rate book, your after-hours arrangement and your brand.
We build it
Standard Call is live 7 days after that call. Priority Call takes 10, because the receptionist and the chat agent have to be trained on your service lines, your rate book and what you will quote over the phone. Emergency Call takes 15 while the content engine is set up. Service pages, town pages, the booking flow and the CRM routing are wired and tested against a real submission before anybody sees it.
The $597 build fee is charged after you are live
The one-time fee is only invoiced once the site is up and you have signed off on it. That order is deliberate and it is the whole point.
Book a call and get your quote
Pick a time below. We will look at the site you have now, list the towns worth a page, and give you a figure and a date.
Questions shop owners ask before they sign
We build on the Astro framework, which ships almost no JavaScript, and serve the pages statically from Cloudflare edge locations. There is no plugin stack like WordPress and no page-builder runtime like Wix or a GoHighLevel-built site carries. We guarantee a 90+ Google PageSpeed score, frequently 100, on mobile and desktop. That matters most in the situation that pays best: somebody searching on a phone while water is still running.
Standard Call is $117 a month, Priority Call is $227 a month plus AI usage, and Emergency Call is $597 a month. All three carry the same $597 one-time build fee. You pay only the monthly invoice up front. The $597 is charged after the site is live and you have signed off on it, never before.
A revision is any change request you send us, and there is no limit on how much you put into one. Updating the copy on a page, adding a whole new page, changing a colour, adding a van or a tech to the team page, updating your flat-rate figures, taking a seasonal promo down: every one of those is a revision. So is something far larger. "Build two new town pages, here is the full copy and the photos for both" is a single revision, not four. Five are included every month on every plan at no extra cost, as part of what you already pay rather than an allowance to ration. After the fifth, each additional revision is a flat $20, with no cap on how many you can buy and no hourly billing, so you know the price before you ask. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days of you sending it, whatever its size.
Job requests from your own website into any CRM you run are included on every plan, by direct API, Zapier, Pabbly or Make, at no extra charge. Anything past that is quoted separately: wiring the site into a field-service platform such as ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro, a payment processor, a permit portal or a supplier catalogue is priced before it is built, so you see the cost and decide. It is never billed to you afterwards.
It answers the question every homeowner is working on before they ring anybody: what is this going to cost. They pick the job type, say whether it is a business-hours or an after-hours call, whether the water is already off, and how many fixtures are affected. It is set to your own flat-rate book, so the range it shows is a range you would really quote. That does two things: the caller stops fearing the number, and your dispatcher stops burning Saturday mornings on calls that were never going to book.
Carriers in the United States require any business sending SMS from a ten digit number to register the brand and the campaign first. Without it your texts get filtered or blocked outright, which for a plumbing shop means appointment confirmations and on-the-way messages quietly not arriving. We file the registration as part of your Priority Call setup and the carrier fee is passed through at cost.
A PDF you can read in five minutes rather than a dashboard you would never open. It says what the callers that month asked for, which service lines they were chasing, how many rang outside your working hours, how many would have hit voicemail before, and how many turned into a booked job. For a plumbing shop that usually means finding out exactly how much after-hours work was going past you, and how many people were calling about a service you do not have a page for yet.
It is included on Emergency Call. Plenty of people never reach a website first: they search, they get the map, and they judge three shops on the listing alone. So we keep yours working. Recent job photos go up rather than the four shots taken the year you started, posts go out when you run a seasonal offer or add a service line, questions left on the profile get answered instead of sitting there, and your hours, service areas and emergency availability stay correct. A profile nobody has touched in a year quietly suggests you might not still be trading.
Managed Cloudflare hosting, your domain, SSL and all ongoing maintenance, plus five revisions a month at no extra cost, the weekly update of your flat-rate figures on the site, the call-out cost estimator and two research-based articles every week. There is no separate hosting bill, no SSL renewal, no per-page charge for adding a service line, and no maintenance retainer on top.
Each one is genuinely researched and runs 2,500 to 3,200 words. That is the difference worth checking when you compare this against anything else at the price: most agencies at this level ship 600 words of padding with your town name dropped in twice, which ranks for nothing and reads like it. A piece long enough to actually explain what causes a slab leak, or what a repipe involves and why it is priced the way it is, is the piece that ranks and the piece an AI assistant will quote. Standard Call and Priority Call publish two a week. Emergency Call publishes three, to the same standard.
Yes. Every form pushes through direct API, Zapier, Pabbly or Make into whatever you run, including ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber and GoHighLevel. We also include our own CRM with your own login, so if you are running dispatch off a phone and a whiteboard today, there is somewhere for the job to land from day one.
Yes. One domain is included free if you need one, and if you already own yours we point it at the new site. Your existing URLs are redirected so you do not lose the ranking you already have, and the old site stays up until the new one goes live.
With fast pages, real city pages, schema and clean sitemap, robots and llms files, we guarantee your site starts ranking in your service area within three to five months. Anybody promising you the map pack in week one is not being straight with you, because local search does not work that way.
Standard Call, in most cases. It is the whole website, the town pages, the weekly rate updates, the estimator and two researched articles a week. Priority Call earns its extra cost the moment you can name the calls you are missing, which for most shops is anything after five and anything on a weekend. Emergency Call is for the shop that has stopped wanting to buy leads at all. Move up when you feel the ceiling, not before.
Standard Call goes live 7 days after the onboarding call. Priority Call takes 10 days, because the receptionist and the chat agent need training on your service lines, your rate book and what you are willing to quote over the phone before they can book anything sensibly. Emergency Call takes 15 days while the content engine is set up. The clock starts at the onboarding call, not at payment.
It can, but it converts worse for each of them. A facilities manager sourcing an annual backflow test and a homeowner with a blocked toilet want completely different pages, different proof and different calls to action. The usual answer is a clear split inside one site, with separate service lines, separate landing pages and separate calls to action for each audience, which is inside the normal build. If you genuinely trade under two names, talk to us on the call and we will price the second site before anything is built.
We rebuild it rather than patch it. Content worth keeping is migrated, your existing URLs are redirected to their new equivalents so the rankings carry over, and the current site stays online until the replacement is live. Nothing goes dark in between.
